  1. well done video
  2. Congrats, that is a nice fish. Everybody on here whould love to have a pic like yours.........you have everybody looking at there right hand, thats the first thing i did after seeing that pic!
  3. its a hybrid
  4. If you want to catch stripers fish in the Arkansas if you want to catch trout go to Arkansas. The best striper fishing in the state is in the Arkansas in fact the O.D.W. takes the female rowe for there hybrid program from the river in Tulsa. The lower Ill. is very unpredictable as far as stripers go and can be very frustrating Maybe some day we will have good trout fishing again if we can get some water
  5. With the exception of the last two weeks. I'v fished two - three days/nights a week since early March. we only had four good days, low water killed it this year. The river is much healthier with regular flows, the fluxuation of big water to no water keeps the river loaded with shad plus it allows the big fish to move up for spawning activity. When the big males came up this year they shut the Keyston dam for two plus weeks in late April at what should have been the best fishing of the year. We still caught some good ones five or six 16- 18lbs and one well over 20 . Oh well, thats why they call it fishing and not catching
  6. yes its a 12wt, I asked Butch about an 8 or 9wt with the same qualities and at that time two + years ago it was not out there. On the plus side of a heavy wt rod the wind does not effect the cast like a 7 or 8wt. the fish in the pic weighed 23-24 lbs it was a good match for the rod. I'm also able to handle the spoonbill without any worry. Another thought - the TFO company has the best warranty in the industry. I broke mine on a Saturday with a Clouser clipping the rod . Butch mailed it to them on Monday, and it was on my porch Friday afternoon
  7. the rod is a TFO ticr 12" the line is the trick for this rod it is Rio outbound I can cover a lot of water with this rig . I saw more than once this spring guys wading into the fish because they could not reach them, the biggest fish in the pics was the second fish of the morning. Two guys walk into the riffle we were fishing below and ran the shad and the fish out. The good fishing was over and done . Talk to Butch @ D&B about the two handed TFO. I bought one from him after he loaned me his for a weekend. PS. I can throw a 3/0 with a wet sock tied to it !! Phil I have caught lots of small 1-3 lb fish nothing of any size....yet
  8. We had a good spring, caught a lot of nice fish most where caught on deceivers and large shad patterns. this is the first in several years that the spawn has been fishable. The action was very sporatic. there where days we would catch five or six nice fish then it might be two or three dry runs days. but thats the Arkansas
  9. Here are the vids this was like crack to a junkie My link and I got my fix......all day
  10. If anyone is fishing the watts area and finds an Olympus 1030 SW in a black case I would love to have it back lost it last Saturday it has one pic of me holding a fish (small fish). I just got it back from getting repaired and lost it the next day 918-639-2565 thanks Rick
