Spent the same day on the lake. We were fishing in the big creek arm. Caught a nice smallmouth late in back area of Hudson Bay on a swimbait but most of our fish have been on spinnerbaits tight to cover. Lots of unders but a few nice'ns. Bigger fish have been smallmouths but some spots. Still on the hunt and will be in the area all week got here on the 16th.. wet and cold that day but the weather is gettin nice now--Good Fish'n--

I see the lake came up almost 3 feet very quickly. Has it muddied it up badly? How is this going to impact the fishing in the next 2 weeks or so? Still coming down from Indiana on the 16 of Oct and don't want to be shocked like I was in the spring of 08. Thanks for any replies.

Thanks for the info. I have fished the cranfield/pigeon creek area before. Had some luck on whites and crappies there. I've seen so many baitfish sometimes it seems like the only thing chasing them is me. We take a fall and spring trip to Norfork and I just love it there. I hope I can move there when I retire.. I will let you know how it goes. I might even post while I'm there--Thanks again

I'm coming to Norfork for a little over a week starting Oct 16 and was wondering which section of the lake may be offering the best bit. Any advice would be appreciated. We'll be staying in the Hand Cove area and in the past have primarily fished in the Big Creek\South Brushy area with mixed results.
