  1. Well I just got back from the white river and had a lot of fun. We ended up just fishing off the bank at our house we rented and actually limited out every morning and afternoon. I'm sure we would have caught lots of more fish if we had rented a boat, but we just wanted to relax and not have to be anywhere at any certain time, and thats exactly what we did. I went to Harps and bought power bait pink and yellow, and zig jigs and red worms. Didn't have any luck with the zig jigs, so we pretty much fished with the power bait tipped with a worm and that seemed to do pretty good. Also the last day we bought some can coirn when I was filling up gas. So we tried that and put power bait with a red worm and a kernel of corn. I know sounds crazy but it seemed to work. We plan on going back but will probably rent a boat to see the river and catch more fish. We did hear that due to all the rain that fishing was harder, and they seemed to be running 2-3 generators while we were there except for one time when they turned them all off. But just wanted to say thanks for all of your tips and advice. Look forward to making that trip again in the near future.
  2. Haven't been yet. Leaving 2nd week of November.
  3. How should we fish with the live worms? Use a cork or free line, or with just a split shot. Thanks
  4. Thanks for all of your help. I'll go to academy and get all of your recommendations. Should I even bother with live worms or just try artificial?
  5. Hi, I am taking my father to the White River in November to fish for trout. We have never been there and have never fished for rainbow or brown trout, only bass, crappie, and bream in Tx. We are staying at a house on the river that says it is 8 miles from bull shoals dam. I have searched the net and found that 4-6lb flourocarbon clear or green works best, but would like some tips on what bait to use while fishing. We are not going for trophys just want to have a good time and catch lots of fish. I have decided to not get a guide so we are doing this on our own. I am planning to just fish from the bank or maybe rent a boat but haven't decided yet. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
