  1. So you all prefer unweighted? I have numerous of those as well as a dozen or so BH buggers. Thanks so much!
  2. I am going to try to be down there the 12th. Never know if I will make it though!
  3. Congrats! At least you don't have to lose sleep over this one
  4. Flysmallie...you still wear a Chiefs hat? I am sorry Just messin with you. I live about ten minutes from Arrowhead, and get tired of how every year...SUPER BOWL BOUND, then, we may make the playoffs and lose the first game. It gets tiring up here with everyone defending them...but good luck at RR (my favorite park).
  5. I guess on opening day, I could fish the Niangua for trout if the park irritates me too bad...something to think about
  6. Well, I may have to call them up. I am interested in one, but cannot get down to AR to get one. CC- Call them. They pick up on the first ring and are very friendly!
  7. dark, nasty mud! No, I will search online for anything because as I would guess, these would spook fish less than foam indicators, but you never know.
  8. How do I make a yarn indicator? I am interested in this. Thanks guys!
  9. Awesome thanks!
  10. Thanks guys! I guess I will just learn to not care as much about retying!
  11. I will NEVER be down there on opening day. It is a madhouse and I love a little space!
  12. Well, with 12# dacron backing, considerably more right?
  13. How much backing can you fit on a 1494 with a standard 90' WF5F line?
  14. I am excited to pick up a glass Eagle Claw Featherlight rod! Cannot wait to fish the streams around the house here! Should be a blast to also fish small streams for trout! Get well soon Terry!
  15. New, here they are only $25 from Cabelas.
  16. I am looking for a Pflueger Medalist 1494 to put on the 6'6" Eagle Claw I will be acquiring in the next few weeks. Thanks in advance.
  17. Wow, thanks a million!
  18. Anyone have a link or a way I can order a rod or a rod and reel from them? Please let me know. I would like to try one of their rods. Thanks!
  19. Sounds like I might wanna grab one of them to fish in the local streams around the house as well as small trout and bass streams in southern Missouri!
  20. I have access to numerous waters here with hybrids in them. A few with 5#+ hybrids in them, and would love to have some help/advice on how to catch these fish, as well as knowledge on flies. Thank you much Bill! I appreciate the help in advance.
  21. Believe it or not, I would rather use a foam spider. It is indestructible, and I have caught sixty fish between 4-8" in one spot in three hours. VERY NICE!
  22. The reason I was going to use 5wt was because I already have a reel with WF5F line on it, and I could just switch reels between rods. To use the 5wt, I would go with the 6'6" 5wt model. Do you think I could cast small sz 6 hair bugs on it, or small size 6 poppers? I know a WF5F will throw BH buggers and the sort, but I was just curious if it would cast poppers and hair bugs well. If not, I will get another spool, and use WF6F. I am just trying to minimize cost as I am looking for a rod to chase trout and smallies on Capps, Hickory, Crane, Big Buffalo, Little Niangua and the other brushy creeks and streams in MO.
  23. Awesome Ollie. Thanks!
  24. So you would suggest going to the 6'6" 5wt. or 7' 5/6wt. from troutlet.com as my small stream smallie rod? Do you know off hand if a WF5F would load it well enough to cast in smallie creeks, as well as creeks and small rivers in the Kansas City area? Please let me know which one you would recommend. I like the idea of the smaller rods while still being a 5wt to have the guts to pull bass from cover. Let me know if you think the WF5F would load the 7' rod.
  25. Like it says, what is a good fly selection to have with me when I come down there in the next month or two? Help me out here as I have never fished Capps.
