  1. A Guide 160? I haven't seen one of them, I don't think.
  2. You do miss, especially from the free throw line. KU football, and EVERY other sport Kansas has misses, A LOT.
  3. You are missing the point. What can I expect from a KU fan?
  4. Thanks you guys! You have really helped me out. I am looking for a used boat, and if I can't find a used solo cheap here locally (I am not driving to St. Louis to pick it up unless the price is worth the drive, and someone puts me up for the night and a float the next morning, haha) I am going to look at a 14-15' tandem that can be soloed very easily if need be on lakes and likely on streams.
  5. alrighty...sounds good, just wondering.
  6. Can we direct her to the Lodging section to avoid clogging this up?
  7. Rock on Scott, thanks bud.
  8. I may have found a solo up here for a good price. I will have to check around and see what I can find before the time to buy comes.
  9. The complaint is that this is a fishing forum (right here, Upper Taneycomo), and they have NOT posted anything fishing related, but rather wanted to drum up business. Two posts and both have been promoting their business. That is pretty bad. If it were in the Lodging forum, it would make sense, as they are trying to drum up lodging business.
  10. There is a place down the index page for just this discussion, called Lodging. The purpose of this forum is not to pimp your product or business, otherwise you have joined for the wrong purpose.
  11. Yeah, for the lakes around here, it wouldn't be too bad to have a slightly longer boat.
  12. I hear you there Eric. Price will dictate the material though, I am sure of that.
  13. Yeah, I know the tandems can be soloed, but honestly, when I am going out myself, I would rather not have to toss around an 80 pound boat.
  14. In a month or so, I will be actively seeking a solo canoe. I would prefer to buy a used boat to keep the cost down. What should one look to spend on a solo canoe that has been used, but not killed? Also, what should I look for with a boat? If anyone on here has one they wouldn't mind parting with, let me know please, as well as a price. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to picking one of these up.
  15. This kind of tweaks me wrong. Two posts and both are advertisements. If it has been cleared with management, I guess it's no big deal, but it just irritates me. If you have nothing fishing or hunting related to contribute to this fishing forum, please post the advertisements in the Lodging post down the forum index. Thank you.
  16. Not to disagree, but to outright say you are wrong, the water is public. Any county or state maintained bridge is a public access and as such, it is unlawful to infringe upon you enjoying the state's public waters. Sorry to tell you this, but you were only trespassing if you were above the high water mark. You were well within your legal right to wade fish the creek both above and below Linden.
  17. For another $40, you could have bought Korkers that come with studded rubber and rubber soles. I don't understand paying the price of new boots to get them resoled. For $45 more, you could have bought Simms Freestones with the rubber soles. For about twice that, you could have gotten top end boots from Cabela's, which have gotten rave reviews.
  18. I wish we had them closer to home.
  19. OR, let me tell you that by the letter of the law, you would be legal and they would be illegal. However, in these situations, they are likely to press tresspassing charges like they did to Chief, and he was on a stream that is a little larger than that. The landowners believe they own it all and keep you out, where if you access from an MDC access or a county or state maintained bridge, you are legal below the high water mark. In any confrontation, it is best to yield to them, knowing full well that if Johnny Law is called, you are wrong, and you are likely getting served papers. I hate it, and wish someone would have the coin to challenge one of these cases all the way to the top and get a firm law made that agrees with Elder v Delcour. I am contemplating this same fight in Kansas, where the state has ruled in favor of the landowners three times in the last fifty years.
  20. I thought I saw you following me around the other day.
  21. Really? That is the only one I have ever caught, and it was just gorgeous. The picture doesn't do it justice.
  22. That shadow bass is one of the prettiest fish I have caught...prettier than almost any bass I have seen.
  23. Al, I sent you a PM regarding the regulation issue. I am glad to see this discussion get turned the right direction and maybe some headway made in correcting the terrible regulations on the stream bass fishing in this state.
