What date does it start on this year and who's all excited as I am about it?

I heard from someone else that nearly every kid had atleast 1 big fish and a few caught some over 15 pounds.

We had a great weekend at the River. I brought some friends that had never left the state of Texas much less fly fished and they had a blast. We started out Friday evening in the C&R and got warmed up. Caught the first 10-15 fish on dry flies and then switched to a glow ball and picked up a few. Had a few on a thread jig also. Never seen so many people in the C&R but we still caught some fish.

Nice report Tim. We're gunna head out this evening after work and be there till the 20th. I'll be in there to spend a ton of money.

I need to see some fishin pics. I'm stuck in the office. May be able to head up to the river in a couple of weeks but it might as well be years.

That's a beautiful part of the river. I'd do anything to own some land right through there. Anyone know who owns that place right up the hill from the cemetery?

So what's going on at the park? I've got the opportunity to run up there but I'm wondering if it's worth it. Must be too cold or something cause I haven't heard any fishing reports. Any problems with the roads getting ice on them? I've never been up there in the winter.

It died off pretty quick on here. Anyone been fishing since opening weekend?

You gotta love those jigibous. I tied a few for a friend the other day and she caught her first 2 lunkers saturday morning.

I think I saw that same fish. Is that in zone 2?

Hey everyone! Just got home in Texas. We had a great weekend fishing. We caught some real nice fish. Nothing just awesome but alot of above average fish. We wanted to make it to breakfast but i had 2 people with me that didn't have fishing licenses and I had to get them hooked up and rigged up before 8. And we didn't make it to Missouri until 2 a.m. fri. The weather was awesome the whole time. We had a great trip and can't wait to get back up there.
