  1. Not me, but my 14 yr old niece landed a 8 lb. 4 oz. largemouth out of my dad's 2 acre pond on a silver/black jointed rapala minnow. My fishing buddy landed a 6 lb.-er on a black quarter oz. offset spinner from the same pond. My largest was a 4lb-er on a 3" junebug colored tube.
  2. Thanks Billy. Where and what kinds of fishing do you enjoy?
  3. I get tackle making supplies at Jann's NetCraft.
  4. I was sharing a boat with one of my dad's best friends (Aaron) on a fly-in trip to northwest ontario. I was about 8 years old at the time, and my dad and older brother were sharing another boat. Aaron had fouled the outboard with his line, and had raised the lower unit and was leaning way out over the transom attempting to remedy the problem. Oblivious to Aaron's precarious position, I let go with a huge two-handed cast which landed Aaron in the drink, cussing and sputtering. Pretty bad day for an 8 year old! DJ
  5. Why not fish for what's biting now? (crappie sunfish walleye catfish) DJ
  6. I would like a week of walleye fishing in Ontario.
  7. Hi Lilley Thanks for the welcome. I have the good fortune to live close to Black River, Current River, Big Creek/St. Francis River, Little Black River, Eleven Point River, Bear Creek, Ten Mile Creek, -Mingo River and Castor River. They all have decent fishing holes on them. I also like the North Fork of the White, but I have only been on it once. Been on the White River at Gaston's once. I also Like Spring River at Mammoth Springs, but never fished it. How about you-Where do you wet a line? DJ
  8. I have had several outdoorsmen tell me that if they wear pull-on rubber boots into chiggar infested areas they have nearly zero problems with them. Have not tried it yet myself. DJ
  9. Just discovered this site and thought i would give it a try. I mostly fish ponds, streams and small impoundments with a canoe. I enjoy several types of fishing--fly rod, spincasting, live bait, and gigging. Best regards to all. Dan Jackson
