Online Shopping Advise

After viewing online opinions,I've decided to buy a Optio W30.Any advise where to buy online,save on tax & shipping.

I like the idea of a camera that you can leave in the vest and not worry about wading too deep or rain.Looks like it's simple enough to hand to a obliging stranger and get a decent pic?

Beware of where you decide to buy from when buying online. There are a lot of shady dealers out there and you may not get exactly what you think you ordered. Keep in mind that if a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is. I have had good luck with B & H photo and video, and I used to order from Cameraworld Of Oregon but last I knew they got bought by Ritz photo and that is when I started using B & H. Good luck and be careful.

Steer clear of any Brooklyn dealers ...... 90% of them offer the lowest prices but then try and gouge you on the accessories .... and if you don't buy then suddenly that camera you wanted isn't in stock.

Welcome to the "CAMERA DEALER FEEDBACK" forum.

Use it for what it's worth. It is also recommended to check with http://www.resellerratings.com/topstores.pl if you have a site that is not on the list and see how the site you are interested in is rated.

Any address in Brooklyn, New York is recommended to stay clear of per members comments.

B&H Photo is the place I've used for years with no problems at all. Not true for MANY others. Be sure and read the descriptions carefully--they will weasel word you. Example I fell for from Cameta--"full service USA warranty" doesn't mean it is a USA camera but likely a plastic overseas model you will not like. I had one whale of a time getting my money refunded but I used a credit card fortunately. It took two months for the credit to be awarded.

If you are ever in NY City, a friend told me it's worth it to visit the B&H store, a full city block, and they have in-store bargains that are worthwhile.
