DaddyO Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Fished below the dam at Tenkiller. The water was up a little but it was still fishable. 1 generator ran all day and I was told by one of the locals that they had been running at least 1, full time, for 3 days in a row. Water clarity was good. We started the day at Marval doing a little bit of spin casting with brown rubber grubs with Mister Twister tails CnR about 8 fish. Used a Prince Nymph on Fly rod and caught 4 more. from 9am to 11am and took a break for lunch. Went back to the dam area and fished the Public Access before the Dam access. They were still running 1 generator but we decided that it was safe enough to wade over to the island. We fished about 50 yards up from the point of the island, casting to the east and periodically to the west. We CnR about 35 Bows on, both, Brown and Black Wooly Buggers, a Brown 1/100th jig and the biggest fish was caught on a black midge. All were Dead Drifted about 4 to 5 feet off of the strike indicator. All in all, it was a good day. Would've liked to have fished with the water down a little more. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
