Members petpipuppy Posted March 14, 2008 Members Posted March 14, 2008 Anybody know of a website that might post water temps for Beaver Lake? (I appreciate the input on that here too) If they bit all the time they'd call it catching....instead of fishing...
cpriest Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 I will be heading out mid morning/afternoon. Probably will be where richland flows into the white. i dont know about temps for beaver specifically, but here is a saved link i have that shows the water level and temp at goshen USGS Goshen
Lshack2 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I fished the white for a little while last night before the lightning ran me off. Fished between Walker's Bluff and the Twin Bridges. Caught mainly small males but the fish are definately on the move. The water color was still pretty stained, and it may be worse today with the Madison Co. thunderstorms last night... Clay Goforth Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Fished friday morning for a few hours at twin bridges and up the first shoal...They are definitely on the move but aren't in big schools yet. I picked up a dozen while I was out but mostly small males...i had maybe two that would have made a filet worth while. Clay Goforth Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 It is official...the whites are on the move and are a good way past twin bridges...We found some this afternoon and this is the result of a couple of hours of fishing...They are not schooled up like I have seen them in the past but have a feeling that this week, if it will stay warm through the day, could be some great great fishing... Also, some friends of mine who I met up with out there had caught a 60+lb spoonbill...unbelievable sight...I don't know why but I didn't snap a picture of it...I am sure some will be floating around though. cpriest Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 so with all of this high water, does anyone know where to begin fishing and what might have happened to the run? I plan on hitting richland later this week but dont know where to start
hoglaw Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 they may be all the way up to lake sequoia. I haven't the slightest idea, but they need current to spawn. I heard Richland and the White were both flowing backwards for a brief period of time. Don't know if that's true or not, but it all looked backed up last night when I drove over 45. I'm thinking about slinging a big black spinnerbait one night this week...maybe tomorrow.
bobber Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 there stacked up in richland creek!!! the creek in warmer than the white river, and has cleared some <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*
