SKMO Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Attached are some pis I took today on the west end: 1st - Sunrise pic of debris jam on Kings River dock about 2 miles upstream of Lost Hill Island. (Green Shores). It is hard to get perspective with the fog and angle but I used to shoot competitive centefire rifle and I would put the pin at 350 yards to hit the last log. 2nd - Big M Marina, just a strip left to park on 3rd - Shell Knob Bridge 4th - Another dock on Kings between Viola and SK 5th - Viola ramp at Kigs River Marina, parking lot completely underwater 6th - Bridgeport on the James. As I took the shot I was also watching a boat motor to the landing with a couple big P-Fish trailing beside. Thought you all who are not witness to the high water might be interested. Gone Fishing Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Awesome pics. Went across Eagle Rock and Kings River bridges on 86 for the first time since the rain. WOW! Talk about a spooky feeling. Seen some guys putting in at Eagle Rock. You better be ready to fish a foreign lake for awhile.
RSBreth Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Great shots, I usually don't get over to any of the place except the James, I usually fish main lake, Kimberling to the dam. Now I see what's coming!
edyer Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Pretty scary pictures. Anybody been on the water on the James River arm over the weekend? I see there are a lot of tournaments scheduled for the next two weekends. Will they still go on? How high up will the water still be?

At one point, we went up to Point 11 and turned around as the water looked like coffee with a ton of cream. It is the muddiest I have ever seen Table Rock. Went toward Baxter to check on our cabin and found the water much better out on the main lake once you left the James arm at Point 9. We didn't fish this area as time was running out, though.
