rcguy Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 I have stayed at the Bennett Springs Inn several times. It's not bad. Just wondered which Motels others like to stay at. Might take the wife and would like a little less "rustic" feel. I have not tried others so I just wanted to get some opinions. Thankx
Paola Cat Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 RC .... Besides camping, I've stayed in the 4 Plex units in the park, I've stayed at Vogels, and I've stayed at the Bennett Springs Inn. They're all OK for me. I just called the wife and asked her to take the poll ..... she likes the 4 Plex units in the park the best. PC Cheers. PC
Members troutgal Posted March 24, 2008 Members Posted March 24, 2008 If the wife likes to stay closer to Lebanon, and you don't mind the 15 minute drive out to the park, the Best Western Wyota Inn is a great place. You even get free hot breakfast from the adjoining restaurant every morning (ordering from the menu, not a "buffet") All of the rooms were updated in the last 2 years or so and the staff is very friendly...nice pool and patio area, too.
Members BKB Posted March 24, 2008 Members Posted March 24, 2008 I like the cabins in the park. In fact, I'm staying in one of the duplex units near the spring tomorrow and Wed. nights. The units that are down by the Niangua boat ramp in the park are also nice. I have stayed at the Bennett Spring Inn before...it's ok...it does not seem to be aging well. There is also somthing to be said for staying IN the park while fishing there!

jjtroutbum Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Also if your thinking of family units. You might like Larry's last year I stayed in two bed room cabin was nice and very clean. if not new. When going by myself or with other dedicated fisherpersons I camp or stay at Sand Springs. rcguy Posted March 25, 2008 Author Posted March 25, 2008 Thanks for the replies!!! I got more options now.
Snow Fly Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Larry's is the best of all. I think I have stayed in all of the places around there, within reason. Condo units are nice plus the cabins they have are clean. "God gave fishermen expectancy, so they would never tire of throwing out a line"
Trout Stalker Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I have stayed at Larry's Cedar Resort, Sand Springs, Vogals, and in the Park. Larry's condos are the best. But if you want to spend a few extra, take a look at Riverwood. Very nice place.
