How is the water down at the park? Is it wadeable yet or is it still up too much? Whats the outlook like for this weekend, will the water go down enough for wadeable fishing?

Muleball:

Check out the following web site at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?06923500 it shows the gauge height at the Gauge House. I always use anything 3.0 or higher as being a little high and probably off color. Just checked it and the graph showed a big spike at around 11pm 3/31/08 with the area now under a flood watch and heavy rains forecast. As saturated as the ground is right now it will stain the water fast if much rain falls, lots of run off. plus the spring hole will probably start pumping a lot of muddy water like it did here a while back..........................Sorry  but things don't look to promising................ :(

Muleball-

Check out Weavers site http://www.missouritrout.com/weavers/report.html. Their info is pretty much dead on, plus they have pictures for those of us that are developmentally challenged.

When I was down there during the original flood you could still wade and fish. You just could not wade to places you normally do. The fishing was off but you could catch fish if you went deep. Dark or bright colored Crappie jigs drug on the bottom. Heavy and fat, brightly colored glo balls laying on the bottom also worked. Basically break out your catfishing gear and techniques.

BTW-

Kind of off the subject but your screen name "Muleball39" rang a bell. I have a close friend that uses "Muleball59" in his e-mail. Did you play ball for CMSU and when?
