Hi Everyone,

Andrew and I had a great trip. Stayed at Lilley's and it was great. Andrew made a comment that it was a place mom we could get mom to come to. Close to shopping and spotless!!! Did not get to meet Phil because he was busy with a big group from Iowa. We caught 20 -30 fish a day down in the streams that fed in to Tanyecomo, Roark , Turkey etc. Mostly on spinners and white, black/brown 1/16 ounce jigs. Kept 8 the last day for a fish fry at home (pic) let the rest go to fight again. Went down to Beaver Lake dam and met some really nice folks at the Dam Site Store. Set up a shuttle with them and we floated down to the second landing. The main channel was nuts with all the water but we traveled up a few of the creeks found clear water and sight fished trout, way cool!! The pic of the kid under the tree with the colorful rainbow was one of about 4 we caught out of that little hole. (pic)

Headed down to Beaver Lake and fished the White by War Eagle Mill. Lot of small males. Fished the White arm of the Beaver the next day up from Twin Bridges and murdered them. Caught as many as we wanted and had the river to ourselves except for two other boats, one boat was hooked up with a spoonbill and fought him for about 30 minutes dragging the boat around before breaking off. Caught a nice mix of males and females with some of the females going at least 2 lbs. (PIC)Little Fishies by Creme were the hot bait they loved them casted up to brush out of the current. Last day we looked for stripers on the main lake up by the dam. Water was high and clear but very Cold. The only negative was on Beaver when we put in by Starkeys Marina. We were looking at the ramp because we had gone to two other ramps that were closed due to the high water. We finally decided to put in and try. I put a five dollar bill under my windshield wiper because there was no drop box to put your fee in, I assumed it was under water. I had a ticket when I got back placed over the 5.00 bill for failure to pay. Well I am trying to straighten it out with the Corp but it does not seem like that should have been a problem. Like I said I like that this site is very positive and I will straighten this out. If this is the worse thing that happened all week I don't have much to complain about. We met and talked to people all week that made us feel like we were family sharing spots and lures and we tried to do the same.

Looks like a blast, glad you were able to salvage the trip. Memories of a trip like that'll last forever. Wish I still could find the time to get out w/ my old man some more, gotta cherish those times. Thanks for sharing the pics!
