Greetings,

Glad to have found this excellent forum. I have fished Bull Shoals and Table Rock since the mid-1960's. It is amazing how the tackle and techinque has changed. Used to be a purple Flip-Tail and a Blue-Silver Rebel was all you needed to haul them in. Still use my 5000c baitcaster, I admit. Got rid of the floppy, 7 foot fiberglass pole, however.

My dad was a serious fisherman, (as in no talking while in the boat and such), and he had me out there as soon as I could throw a Zebco 33. Lost a lot of fish on that rig. He had me learn to baitcast with a Shakespere President, no spool release. Hard time, but I can throw just about any reel today.

I have a part-time place around Shell Knob, hope to spend more time there in years to come. Thanks in advance for all the great fishing news.

Signed,

Rather Be Fishing.
