Mark Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The high water in rivers has forced us to change plans for this week's fishing trip. We have decided to go to Reelfoot for some crappie fishing. Will we have any problem finding lodging for 3 guys without reservations anywhere? And since none of us have ever been there, any advice on the fishing would be appreciated.
Dave Cook Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I prefer the Samburg area. There is the Samburg Motel http://www.bunchofducks.com/bod_folder/lodging_rates.htm. More centrally located to Reelfoot is Blue Bank Motel and marina. It's close to some fine catfish eating. I just looked at the Blue Bank website. Good information there. Jigs on a nine foot fly rod or crappie pole work great there for crappie and bream. Dave Cook Missouri Trout Fishermen's Association - Kansas City
