Spent a couple of days in the SK area. Water temp 57 to 59 on the surface, up to 65 on Monday (air temp 81). Water stained light brown, lots of debris. Campbell Point and Big Bay ramp access roads (the actual ramp is waay down there) are open, but no easy place to turn the rig around. Central Crossing open but lots o' driftwood.

Sunday the fish seemed to be relating to the normal bank. 20 to 25 feet. No bite. Monday, detected a lot of fish in 5 to 10 feet. This would be on formally dry land, in tall grass, way behind trees, parking lots, etc. No bite, probably in spawn mode. Lots of bait fish feeding on the surface, nobody chasing them, yet.

Hard to visualize 930.24 feet until you are out. Completely new shoreline, lots of deep cover, fishing in treetops where the sun used to be.

Sounds like the dam area may be cleaner and a little better than mid-lake. Not sure these clear water fish are tuned in to eating blind. I spooked a couple carp with the trolling motor, they were on the surface near stumps, within 2 or 3 feet of the boat. Nature will prevail, they will figure it out eventually.

It was good to be out on the water. fish or no fish.

Thanks to all for the tips and news. P.S., SK gas was $3.29 - $3.39. Not sure about the Marinas.
