soggyfeet Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 STUPID CHIEFS!!!! I hope that Carl Peterson isnt flyfisherman down there at Tany or anywhere else for that matter. That man would screwup a crowbar in a sandbox. I cant belive he trades off the only reason to go see the team play. Brian
soggyfeet Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 I what is he thinking the guy doesnt know how to pick in the draft. Kickers in the 5th round for example (that on edidnt even make the team). I guess hes thinking he will get rid of his best player and draft one decent player one crappy player and one that wont make the team or end up in prision. sorry about the double post just wasnt done ranting yet. Brian
JobyKSU Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Seriously? I am extremely excited about the trade. First, KC isn't going to win this year. Period. Second, Allen was going to leave after the end of the year unless KC slapped him with the franchise tag again. By trading him now, they get a slew of picks to use to actually pursue an offensive line. With all of the money that LJ's getting, it'd be awesome if he could get a block or two. Plus, give Croyle more than 2.5 seconds to get set and see what happens to his QB rating. Minnesota got a pretty good deal. Allen has grown up and I doubt he's going to have any more DUI problems. But an unhappy superstar wasn't going to help KC that much for very long. ::. JobyKSU Tippet Breaker Extraordinaire

davekeim Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Cheer up! The Chiefs are fine. Allen is a trouble maker. His new big deal will put him further in the ground. Wait and see! Signed, Cardiac Abdito! Another Beautiful Day In The Ozarks
Murdoc Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 As far as the draft. The Chiefs suck in the draft!! They get lucky every ten years or so. I hope they don't go wild and just pick people like they have in the past. I will miss the only leader on the team!! I mean it!! He was the only one on the team that showed fire!!! LJ should be the next to be traded!!!! I've seen enough baby bottles thrown around the field!!!! Smiles are free http://rdpflyrods.com/
JobyKSU Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Chiefs have done just fine in the draft. 3 of the last 4 first round picks could start for almost anyone in the league (Derrick Johnson, LJ, and Bowe). To make things a bit easier - it's the offensive line that KC will be focusing on. Drafting linemen is usually a bit easier, especially when you have 10 picks to do it. As far as LJ - get him some blocking and he'll give back a couple thousand yards of rushing and a wear a big smile. ::. JobyKSU Tippet Breaker Extraordinaire

They might draft a QB fairly early as well. Don May Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
soggyfeet Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 OK guys what do you think now. Trade a team leader defensive linemen and draft a rookie defensive linemen instead on concentrateing on the O-line. I know this guy is suposed to be good but he wasnt suposed to be there when at the Chiefs turn. Fractured tibula scared everyone else off. I dont know about you guys but it is hard as a season ticket holder to put up with this stuff. I mean every yr its the same thing "it s a rebuilding yr" wether its a new coach or replaceing retired players that Carl the Hun ran off. I guess one one hand we can hopefully get excited about watching the defence again like in the mid 90's. Just too bad we got rid of the leagues best pass rusher. Brian
