timsfly Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 The river has came up about 4 feet or so, but is on the fall right now, another 2 weeks of nasty water or so. I've seen it clear up quicker, but I don't think so this time, it will run hard for the rest of this week and be in decent shape by the weekend, I figure it will still be high, but it may clear some as soon as all the runoff, runs off. Call the shop or pm here for more info Shop # 417-847-4956 This water is a real blessing, though it is hurting some people(pray for everyone that is affected by the flood waters) We have been low on water around here for a long time, Roaring River and other local streams should run good and strong all year, I'll bet the water in june, july and august will be the best we've seen in years. Steve Smith Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Just picked up a tag at 4 PM yesterday, and the sun was shining - river looked clear and great. Fish were midging meaning dry fly time. By 4:30 it was hailing, followed by hard rain, followed by more hail. By 6:00 the river rose over a foot, and was pure chocolate colored. Called it a day ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
