Caught Em On Dries Last Night

The spring appears to have stopped spewing mud out, and the river has cleared up almost overnight.

I fished last night for about an hour, and caught 7 trout, 5 on a griffiths gnat and 2 on a small adams.

Now below the falls there is still a lot of water. You still need to add extra weight, if you are nymph fishing,

but when the spring clears

like it has the flow will drop a lot in the following days and return to normal. So in the next few weeks the

the dry fly fishing should just get better and better, if we don't get hammered this week by rain

Where'd you fish last night? I won't get to visit RR for the first time in '08 for several weeks at least...getting the fever tho...

I fished up near the hatchery, the water is a bit slower up there rignt now, and it is stacked with nice fish.

We have some good hatches in the zone 1 area, I see lots of midge and blue wing olive hatches in the upper

end. There are caddis hatches up there also, they seem to be heaiver in zone 2. The trico hatch is better in

zone 2 also, but the B.W.0.'s are good in both zone 1 and 2.
