Gone Fishing Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Alot of people stay home when it rains but thats when I can go. I do excavation work so when it rains I don't. So gladly, I'm Gone Fishing. Took a co-worker today that has been out several times this year with no luck. Told him we were going to catch'em and we did. Fished from 1pm to 4:30pm from K.C. to Indian Point. Only had time to fish 4 points but caught keepers on all of them. Mostly you guessed "Swimming a Grub". Did manage keepers with C-rigs on lizards. Fish came out of 20-25 feet of water. All SM's with 1 nice KY. Had 11 in 3 hours. Sure beats WORKING.
WebFreeman Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Sounds like fun and it does beat work. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
Hogfan Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Hey Gone Fishing.... Heard you had a big day on the water this past Saturday.....congrats on that. I'll be heading that way tomorrow afternoon and will spend Friday and Sunday on the water. I may swing by sometime tomorrow or Friday if you're going to be around.
Gone Fishing Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 Hogfan, it was one of those days that everything went right. Fish were biting great. Could not wait to get one off to catch another. Greety I guess but fun. Give me a call and maybe we can hit the water.
Gone Fishing Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 With fish biting like they are I called it a mist out today at about 1pm.Got the boat and went out till 4:30 again. Had 5 keeps. All SM but one KY. Fish secondary points today. Water seems to be warming up day to day. It was 65.3 when I loaded up. I might have to cancel work tomorrow with a heavy dew.
