Help, No Luck At All

Put in at quaryy marina just before dark this evening. Fished the entire koso bay and thumb point areas without so much as a bite. We threw rogues, red fins and spooks around the outer edge of the trees. were targeting mostly stripers, but would have been happy with anything. Usually kept the boat in 30-35' of water. slow rolled the rogues back to the boat. It was dead calm and nothing was really busting the water around us. Did graph some balls of shad in the 10-15' range, so maybe should have swam a grub through those baitfish. Anyway, that is my crappy report. What should we have done different?

Coming to Lake Norfolk first week on June 31May until 7th of June staying at Crystal Cove Resort have not been to Norfolk in 15 years any suggestions and or help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance coming with brother in law has great bass boat with all of the new finders/locaters.

Right now the Largemouth are in the trees way back in the coves and wacky rig purple floating worms are working good.The smallmouth are are on the outside edge of the trees and hitting jerkbaits, jigs and shaky head worms.The flooded picnic and campground areas are holding smallmouth.Just about every picnic table has a smallmouth on it.The problem with the Largemouth is getting your boat back far enough in the trees to get to the fish.Another pattern for largemouth is a spinnerbait in the main lake cuts.I am looking forward to the lake getting back to normal pool.

I don't post on this forum but I read it all of the time, I perfer trout fishing on Taney but they have already paid for resort and go every year but due to my sister's job she cannot go so I am going in her place
