Thom Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 This is a picture of my granddaughter Jessica. She and her dad went to the stream at the morning whistle and she had caught several on a bumble bee spinner and was back at the cabin by 8 oclock. All of the kids were catching fish. They had stocked 100 lunkers. My grandson Zach caught and released several fishing the pine squirel pattern that Leanord had introduce him to one night. He had tied it himself and was stripping it just at the hatchery outlet. He also caught a 3 # Largemouth on it. I couldn't get him to come out of the water for a pic since he didn't want to lose his spot. This is a picture of Peter Gakin from Oklahoma cith who was staying next door to us and along with others had caught several of the left over lunkers on Sunday. I fished on Friday after I checked in and caught fish on white mini jigs, Black and yellow mini's, lots of different egg flies and small green jig and a grey hares ears. It was mostly about the kids though that week end. Thom Harvengt
Thom Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 Follow up on BSSP report. Email from Peter Gaskin Hi Thom, Yes, sure did and sure do appreciate you taking time to post my trout picture. My 20 inch trout was the largest trout caught by our group of 18 men since we began fishing Bennett Springs in 1992. There is a sequel to this happening I want to share with you. From the same hole where I caught mine a second 20 incher was caught on Monday, and a 19.75 incher on Tuesday. Best regards, Pete Thom Harvengt
