Kansas Fly Fisher Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Some of you may know and some not. My wife and I are both from Picher but currently live in Erie, Kansas. Both of us still have several family members that live in Erie. My mother-in-law, and two sister-in-laws were in the direct path of the tornoda. My oldest sister-in-law did not survive the storm. The next oldest is in serious condition in Columbia, MO with broken bones in both legs and arms, a broken back, a ruptured spleen and an amputated foot. My mother-in-law is in Bartlesville with multiple lacerations to her entire body; but doing well considering. Everyone lost everything. The houses are no longer and all that remains is the foundation. My jeep was parked at my mother-in-laws and currently has a tree on it. My wife, daughter and grandson were at Roaring River fishing when the storm hit. My side of the family made it out safely. Please keep my family close in your prayers during the upcoming days. It's going to be a very long road to recovering for them and everyone else involved. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
