Kids Day Is Tomorrow

Kids Fishing Day - May 17 & August 16

Held at Roaring River State Park.

If you have a kid bring them down, or borrow a kid and bring them down, it should be a lot of fun.

All kinds of stuff for kids, and lots of prizes, if it is anything like last year.

Hey Tim - Do you know if they do a few holes special for the kids to fish at as well, or will all holes be open to the "older kids"? I wasn't there last year, but depending on work might be able to make it this year w/ nephew.

they close down alot of zone 1 for the kids all the way from the first hole to the low water bridge it is lots of fun my family and i volunteer every year on both weekends it os a blast i can't wait to have kids of my own but for now i just borrow kids and help them out

Last year it was the low water bridge(below the lodge) all the way to the hatchery roped off for kids 15 and younger.

the hatchery will stock the holes several times thru out the day.

the stocked over 5000 fish last year just for the kids, and they put out 100 lunkers last year for the kids.

sunday is a great day to fish, there are tons of fish left and lots of 3lb + fish left in the river.
