timsfly Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 We really lucked out yesterday, only about 1 1/2" of rain and most of it fell in the evening, we had 1" in an hour and then it was over, the river is in great shape, we didn't flood and it is supposed to be a pretty weekend. Here are some pics of the river this morning. http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u294/ti...nt=P6140025.jpg http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u294/ti...nt=P6140026.jpg I could still see the bottom in most of the holes, and it was still pretty dark out when I was down. Beetles tore the trout up yesterday, should be good today also. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
DaddyO Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Tim, Thanks for posting the report and pictures. I'm coming from the Tulsa area with my Dad on Friday evening the 20th. We plan on fishing the 21st and 22nd. I've never fished the Roaring River and I am anxious to give it a try. My Dad and Uncle have fished and camped at the park many times and really enjoyed it. I have enjoyed reading all of your posts and have turned my Dad on to your fly tying examples on photobucket. He is new to the whole Internet experience but is a quick study on everything that he does. We will stop by your shop when we are down. I look forward to more reports. Keep up the good work! DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
