Members tinner Posted June 15, 2008 Members Posted June 15, 2008 A co-worker of mine was nice enough to let me bring my son out to his pond and do a little fishing. The catfish was a little much for his ultralight rod and reel but we finally got it landed. Just really wanted to share some pics. I hope I did it right.
Terry Beeson Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Yep... some of my fondest memories are of my first fishing trips and of helping other kids catch their first fish. Great pics of a great smile... He'll remember that forever. FishinCricket Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Awesome! You did a great thing, and so did your co-worker! Did you throw his fish back, or did he let you keep them? I have had friends insist on cooking them for me.. that's always nice! It's a great thing that you got it all recorded, because even though your son will remember it forever, your memory isn't going to last quite as long! You may need the pictures long before he does... cricket.c21.com
Members tinner Posted June 16, 2008 Author Members Posted June 16, 2008 Yep they are still swimming around in his pond. I grew up fishing farm ponds as a kid growing up in rural Northern MO " like there's an urban Northern MO ha-ha" so it was kind of like stepping back 25 years.
