They are catching some blues in the park at miami on nightcrawlers. They are mostly smal less than two pounds. I think most of the catfish are spawning right know so fishing is a little tough. Neosho and spring are both at flood stage they are definatly up and muddy.
fishinSWMO Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 We caught a mess of channel cats Friday night and Sat. morning on spring river, using cut shad for bait. Nothing real big, up to about 8lbs or so, with the occasional gar and turtle. Jeremy Dodson

fishinSWMO Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 wildhunter, There hasn't been a lot of shad lately, but we are starting to see them come back. We netted them up around the docks above the piers. fishinSWMO Jeremy Dodson
Members wildhunter066 Posted August 13, 2008 Members Posted August 13, 2008 we sacked the shad up yesterday at twin bridges just up the spring river side but the fishin stunk. We was hoping to tear them up with the neosho gettin a good push on it from all the rain. All we could manage was a few small channels and blus. The boy did catch his first cat all on his own and he was pumped so it was a good trip. I have never done any good with the wind out of the east. Like my grandma used to say wind out of the east fish bite the least wind out of the west fish bite the best.
