Members swellcat Posted June 19, 2008 Members Posted June 19, 2008 Howdy folks! My name is Brian Beck and i reside in Sand Springs,Ok.(a suburb on the west side of Tulsa). Keystone is nice. So is being able to catch sauger (at least in the winter) and stripers in an often wadeable river, the Arkansas. Pretty neat urban fishery.
Members ndwoods Posted June 20, 2008 Author Members Posted June 20, 2008 Thanks everyone! Yes Keystone is about a 15 minute drive for me and its up right now 23 ft and climbing. They are letting tons of water go so if you waded now you would end up in the Mississippi in about a day LOL!
rps Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Fished Keystone many times while I lived in Tulsa. More than one story to tell on Keystone - first time to have a gun pointed at me, first time to have a fish take all my line, first time to watch a varoom varoom boat bury itself in the waves - don't miss it a bit. Come over often then do as I did: move here. Welcome! rps
Members ndwoods Posted June 21, 2008 Author Members Posted June 21, 2008 Thanks rps! Believe me ,i'd love to live over there somewhere.I've lived my life in the Tulsa area(Broken Arrow native) and i love it here too but the the Ozarks really is God's country.I guess thats why I love my folks cabin near Spavinaw,Ok so much. We've had the place since 72 and I consider it my home away from home!
