Danimal Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I generally fish the flies only/catch and release area. Anywhere else is pretty much shoulder to shoulder fishing as far as I can tell. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
Zach Bearden Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 When I get into that combat fishing (not because I walk on top of people but if they get close to me) I start to dredge with multiple nymph combinations. You'll get plenty of hang ups but also tons of fish that drop to the bottom. But like Dan-O said I like to go to the C&R area. Theres plenty of fish, not alot of fast water that I like but some good fish. "Its clearly Bree time baby!" Member: 2009 U.S. Youth Fly-Fishing Team. The Caddis Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 Anyone get a chance to go over the weekend with no generation in the AM?
Danimal Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Check Zach's other post in this column. Some nice fish were caught. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
The Caddis Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 So I thought about going today, no generation on the schedule. Glad I didn't becuase the stream report shows they are generating.
Danimal Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I got there at 11:30. By the time I finished reading the newspaper the horn sounded and the water started dropping. It took the fish an hour or so to find their feeding lanes. By 4:30 I landed between 25 and 30. Mostly on midge-type patterns. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!

Dan-o I got their early at 7am - had 7-8 fish by 8am and they started generating, even though it was not scheduled. Always makes me angry - the weekend after they finally start stocking that they generate when they didn't even have it scheduled. Are they trying to run away anyone willing to drive a little ways to fish. I spent more time driving than fishing. Scott
Zach Bearden Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 hehehe, a guy from TFF and I stood by the riffle under the cable on Sunday (??) and I watched him catch fish after fish for probably 25-30 minutes. We went down to T&M and I caught about 4 before I got bored. Went back to the dam and walked up onto a riffle and started catching fish cast after cast. There are alot of fish in the river right now, if there is someone you want to be interested in fly-fishing (or just fishing) right now would be the time to take them. "Its clearly Bree time baby!"
