Members Bad cast Posted July 8, 2008 Members Posted July 8, 2008 Some mornings and every evening fishing by the dam I experence my glasses fogging up. I wear action optics glasses, their top of the line. It is a pain to fight that during a peak time to fish. Dont know if there is a trick or a product everybody uses or am I the only one. You guys on the water all the time help me out. Thanks Randy
MOBass Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 You can buy no fog drops for dive mask and that should do the trick. In a pinch a diver will spit on the lens of the mask and then rinse it. I don't recommend doing this if you have a wad of chew in though.
soggyfeet Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I dont wear mine so close to my face so air can circulate behind them.(push them down farther on your nose) It seems to work Brian
hfdhoosier Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 This is what I use.....seems to work for me. I bought it at a hunting show, dont remember the price. http://bumpasbluemagik.org/default.aspx Dennis Eat, Fish, Sleep,....Repeat Member: ozarkflyfishers http://www.ozarkflyfishers.org/

FishinCricket Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 .... In a pinch a diver will spit on the lens of the mask and then rinse it..... this is my method, it seems to work fine.. (and is highly cost effective and readily available) Just wipe dry with a dry cloth, t-shirt, napkin, etc... I don't suggest RainX, however, because it's designed to make rain bead up and roll off with air movement... It doesn't mean it will help with a fog of tiny water particles on stationary glasses..... It'll make it bead up and roll off if you happen to be standing in a wind storm.. But I don't see how that will help your problem.... If I am not mistaken the fogging in your glasses is because of a sudden difference in temp between the lens and the surrounding air.. I would think a plausable solution would be to do as SoggyFeet suggests and seperate your glases from your face a little farther to equalize the temperature... cricket.c21.com
