Members slipknot Posted July 8, 2008 Members Posted July 8, 2008 Well this Okie sure enjoyed hunting for those big Whites on the Rock over the Holiday. Thanks to all of the posters here for the great advice!!! Wow you all were sure right about the boat traffic. I was pretty well bounced out by the waves by 9:30am. If it wasn't the Lake Lice it was the Thunderstorms that made me head back to the Marina. I did find a few whites and a bunch of Kentuckies though. I caught one White that went 2.6 and a Kentucky that went 3. Found the Whites off of an island close to big cedar and the k's on an island straight back from there. Tough getting those k's to the boat with all of that jumping and spitting my plug back at me. I trolled roostertails behind a jet diver to catch both the k's and the w's. All in all a great trip. I will definitely be back when you guys say the spawn for the whites are on next spring. At that time I will probably have a better chance of catching that 4 or 5 pound white. Thanks again!!!!!!
