When I fished the Jack's a couple of years ago, I caught "smallies, goggle eyes and brimm". No trout. I know there are trout on the Current river, but they are mostly further upstream, on the Current. He owes you. wader

Looks like the hubby is going to owe you a chicken dinner... I have never caught a Trout on the Jack's Fork, it's just too warm I think.. My guess is that if there are any trout in that stream it will be down very close to where it merges with the current.. good news is that if you do catch any trout on the fork they will probably be monstrous! Lot's of smallies though... cricket.c21.com
creek wader Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Here's the latest fishing report for the Jack's, from the MDC. Jack's Fork: 75 degrees, normal, clear; smallmouth bass and goggle-eye good on soft plastic lures. (Report made on 7/9/2008) wader
Bman Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Looks like the Hubby is buying! Outstanding Smallie water! The only good line is a tight line
Members kkirchmer Posted July 13, 2008 Members Posted July 13, 2008 Smallmouth, Goggle Eye, and Sunfish. All of the trout are in Current River. You win congrats!!!!!!!! Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
