OK, I went fishing the other day at Fellows Lake and didn't catch a fish, all darn day. But, I did catch a rod 'n' reel. The reel is a Shimano 2000. At first I was not able to turn the reel at all. Today I finally around to looking at it and I took it apart and cleaned out the dried mud and such. I put some reel oil I had on the gears and it does turn now. It doesn't turn that smoothly though, in my opinion. What I would like to know is if there is anything that any of you would suggest that I do to make it more smooth in its action and to be sure that it is ready to use for the future?
