The time of year when the fish will be deep is upon us. This year I intend to try to master jigging spoons for bass and walleye. I used to use the method a lot on white bass and stripers when I lived and fished in Oklahoma. I had a couple of good largemouth trips with them as well.

My question is this: Has anyone experience with the free style jigs? They look like they are deadly and like they have advantages.

XPS makes some good ones, I like plain chrome or copper depending on the weather. I like throwing them into docks and out off long points, let them flutter down then rip them off the bottom.
