Members wildhunter066 Posted August 6, 2008 Members Posted August 6, 2008 I was down at the lower wire road acess by the dairy farm the other day. While i was rigging up i got to talking to a guy from the conservation dept. He told me the conservation dept. was working on buying the farm below that access. I think he said it was 300 acres and went all the way down to the next bridge on crane. I sure hope they get it bought. The fishing was good too caught lots of beautiful mclouds on a hopper nothing big though bout 10in was the bigggest.
Project Healing Waters Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 That would be a great addition both for conservation and access reasons. Hope it comes to pass. http://www.projecthealingwaters.org
drew03cmc Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I hope it comes through. More water to fish there is great for everyone, and who knows...more big fish down there? Andy
RSBreth Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I would like to see TU or some other body try to buy easement on both sides all the way down to where Cane flows into the James. I've tried to get some interest for this in the past and no one wanted to bite. Too bad, Crane is not only a real peach for us locals, but a gem of trout fishing for the entire country, I mean.... McCloud rainbows man!
