I'm gonna be on the Lower Lake over Labor day, and while the main attraction will be skiing and boating, I will have some free time in the mornings. I'll have access to a dock that lies in a cove maybe 20' deep, but can walk to shoreline on a bigger part of the lake. Would it be worth my time to fish here, or should I just go to the tailwater for trout if I want to catch fish?

Thanks,

Rob

Others may disagree, but if I were going to fish on foot that time of year, I would be down on the river.

With the water level high, I think it would be tough to walk the bank around Bull Shoals right now unless its a field or a yard.

Unless there is a major drop in water level like the dam breaks or they open the flood gates, there no bank to fish.

I would plan on hitting th river at lest there is some shoreline in the BSSP area to fish.

Caught sunfish shallow on shad-raps, and lost a 2-3 lb spot at the boat on a jigging spoon. Went below the dam for a while, and caught a few swinging crawlers through eddies. Saw some nice browns come in on a guide boat, sealed up in Ziplocs.
