Danoinark Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Yeah Terry, you can sure tell her photos compared to mine! Flysmallie, Dry Run would be a little over 2 hours from Springfield I believe. It is an awesome little creek--and beautiful to boot! Brian Excellent Brian. Thanks for sharing. Ronnie you need to get em down there. Its a heck of an experience. Let me know when you go down and I will bring the grandkid along if its the right timing. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Terry Beeson Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Ronnie, You will NOT be sorry you did... But you will regret it if you don't get them down there... I talked to a kid a while back who fished DRC a few times and his 16th birthday was a disappointment because he realized he could not fish there anymore... Terry Beeson Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 ssshhh... .it's a well known secret... Not an "official" website, but AGFC has some info and you can google "Dry Run Creek Arkansas" and get a few hits... am4mu Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Brian, That video is priceless. You should be a very proud dad, and yes I am also jealous that a five year old makes my casting skills look bad. Doug Doug Kiefer Independence, Mo h: am4mu@comcast.net w: dougk@schulzetool.com
Brian Wise Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 Cadillacricket, Possibly the best thing about Dry Run Creek is that it is not a "pay to play" creek--it is completely free. I have to say that I have fished at a couple of pay to play places and the fish are no where near as big as the fish on Dry Run either. Chances are if kids fish it more than once they will catch the fish of their lifetime. I would seriously consider jumping off of Norfork Dam just to fish it for a day. Thanks for the kind words guys, Parker is still talking about it and has watched the video a dozen times. Brian My Youtube Channel
Mikey Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Brian... I couldn't help but smile a bit when I heard the music you set the video to. I happen to have just that CD compilation of songs... Mikey Each time I buy a new fly............ My wife gives me the same look........ I give her when she buys another purse... ..............................
