Members Sumday Posted August 12, 2008 Members Posted August 12, 2008 Am going on a company float trip on the Elk this weekend. Want to do some fishing and after reading the forums would like to try a solo canoe. Does anyone in Noel rent solo's or even in Branson and I'd haul it. Many Thanks !! Randy
bobber Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 no solo's that i can think of!... but you can just spin a tandem around and paddle it backwards( i mean with you sitting in the front seat, thats the back seat after the spinning around) this moves you more to the center of the canoe! or just load your heavy iced down cooler up front..... a foam gardeners mat/ or knee pads to kneel down on is a nice touch too! beware of the buffalo canoe the seat has a big lip on it .. a square-cushion will be needed for that one. ... i hope this help you out some? <*)))))))>< * AMERICAN CANOE ASSOCIATION CERTIFIED CANOE, and SWIFT WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR.*

I don't know if it has a middle seat, but two sons rents the short canoes... turned around it's be like a solo... And unless it's real windy, you'd be able to control a regular canoe... The elk is the tamest river I've ever canoed..
