Side Scan Sonar Question

I just got a hummingbird demension 3 side scan sonar.I know its older but I like it.I was wondering, has anyone tryed to mount the transom style tranduser to a trolling motor.Im thinking it can be done but poss only has good readings in forward position.Has any one tried this?Give me some feedback.I mite even go fishing sometime before christmas.

It can be done...however most transducers are made to function best when mounted to a solid surface tha doesn't move.

when i bought mine at BS, they tried to sell me a mount for the trolling motor. you might check their web site and see if they have one for your model.
