Trav Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Only fished two hours today. I basically looked for the shallow water bite so I hopped inlets for the most part. I caught six sport bass. All out of water less than twelve inches deep. The water still has that cloudy look. I will be glad when it gets back to normal. Anyway, Nothing worth bragging about but relaxing all the same. I do have a funny story though. I was twitching a rapala on the surface near an over hanging tree. Minding my own business when bam, out of nowhere a blue heron swoops down and picks up my lure. Lucky the hooks didn.t set and it dropped my lure. I have eaten some crow in my day, but never blue heron. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
bigredbirdfan Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Minding my own business How did you do that? Anyway now I had my fun. Big Red might be spotted on the water this weekend. He will make a pass by the ole dock in case an adult beverage falls off my boat into your hand. I know you avoid idiot weekends, but I have no choice. I will being fishing your way and not with the masses.
Trav Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 You might see me down there pushing logs this weekend. That tends to be a never ending chore this year. "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
