Danoinark Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 My forecast for N. Ark says we could see heavy rain starting tomorrow (Tues) through this coming weekend. Sure won't do much for lowering the lakes any. At the same time we should all be gearing up for some great fall and early winter fishing. Al Agnew Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 St. Louis TV weather just said there could be up to 9 inches of rain across much of the area south of St. Louis, Wednesday evening through Friday.
Zack Hoyt Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Looks like it is suppposed to hit Pea Ridge this afternoon. Guess I might throw the kayak on top of the car just in case. Never had to paddle to work....wonder where I will put my briefcase?? Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
bigredbirdfan Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Local news channel in Springfield reporting 6-8 inches in two days. Look out White River Basin.
Guest kevinkirk Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Wish i was there. I would put on the Togs and hit the river for the walleye and big browns. Nothing like a heavy rain to fish in. Miserable for sure, but rewarding. THe older I get the harder it is to drag myself out in that, tho.
Guest kevinkirk Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I see you are in for it for sure. Glad I came down this past weekend. And three more hurricanes headed for the USA. Looks like a heavy fall. Wish it would rain in Georgia and Alabama and fill those lakes. Surely they will get someof this. Hannah on the way. Hang on.
Trav Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I am so sick of this crap. Looks like I will be pushing logs off my dock for the next two weeks! "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Guest kevinkirk Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 The wind blew a steady 35 mph yesterday here, dry and hot and no lakes. SEE, it could be worse. you all are spoiled down there. I love it and hope to become SPOILED myself in the future. How lucky you all are to have so many places to fish etc. I won the lottery, I was born in america
bigredbirdfan Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I am so sick of this crap. Looks like I will be pushing logs off my dock for the next two weeks! They were all over the place Saturday. Big ones. The type that take out lower units. People need to be careful.
