Terry Beeson Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Some of you may not know about this: Here’s your opportunity to shorten the learning curve! Nationally recognized expert, Art “Doc” Mazzier, great friend to the FFF and the Southern Council, has graciously agreed to amend his schedule in order to bring to you his in depth class on the bugs that big fish will leave cover for. Art’s knowledge of entomology is nearly inexhaustible. He will lead you through a discovery and learning process that will elevate your understanding of the insects you have been encountering while fly fishing. Doc is a retired surgeon who is so enamored of bugs he went back to school to study entomology!!! But, Art is not just “a bug guy”. He also happens to be an FFF Master Casting Instructor, certified since 1997 and a recognized expert fly tier, not to mention his considerable fishing catching abilities. Your attendance at this session will insure you a well rounded and in depth understanding and should be considered by all serious fishers, fly tiers and conservationists. This class should be “required reading” for at least one member in each club, simply to help facilitate the implementation of stream team initiatives and to elevate your club’s fly tying programs to a new level. This class is only offered once this year with a class size limit of 10, so don’t miss this unique opportunity. You can log on to the Southern Council website for the enrollment form via the link below. Oh yeah, almost forgot. Bring your tying gear. You’re not just learnin’ about bugs, you’re makin’ ‘em! Look forward to seeing you there! TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
