Water conditions have changed over the past two days. Strong storms have brought some much needed water to this area.

The river is up, and running a lot of debris. There was an excellent caddis hatch in the afternoon, an excellent BWO hatch and an excellent midge hatch in the afternoon. The fish were not paying a lot of attention to the bugs however. I guess the water conditions had a lot to do with that. The fishing was a little slow, if you measure by the numbers of fish caught, but I did manage to catch some nice browns on streamers. It was a lot of work and I covered a lot of water to find them.

Sam--how bad is the water down there? Looks like it's back down again, but has it changed from the chocolate milk color I'm sure you had after the storms?
