fishinSWMO Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I did a little fishing on shoal creek today. I caught a few goggle eyes, and some largemouth bass. Got one that was a toad. Sure hope we don't get a lot of rain this weekend and flood the creeks. Fishin Jeremy Dodson
Buzz Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Nice fish.. What baits were they bitin'? I hope the rain stays south of us too, I really need to catch some bass. I haven't really been in about 3 weekends. I'm glad to see they are still bitting. Buzz If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Members CDC Posted September 13, 2008 Members Posted September 13, 2008 I did a short float from Reddings Mill bridge to Wildcat yesterday evening. Caught a few goggle eye and a few Largemouth on a soft plastics. Hooked a nice 17 to 18 inch small mouth on a spinner but she threw the hook just as I got her to the boat. Looks like you did a little better then I did.
fishinSWMO Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 thanks guys, The goggle eye were hitting small plastics on a jighead. I caught a few bass on a larger jig with soft plastic, and some with a crankbait. fishin Jeremy Dodson
Chief Grey Bear Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Nice fish fishin. I was hoping, like Buzz, to get in a little floating this weekend. Doesn't look like that is gonna happen.
