Cane Bluff To Greer Springs 10-02

Hated the eleven point so much I had to go back... LOL

My wife wanted to float the warmer part of the river, didn't know it was a creek! Beautiful Scenery, lots of bluffs and caves that are viewable from the river..

Lots of long holes, spots of deeper water that seem to always hold fish (though smaller fish, I will admit) and then the grand finale was the spot where Greer flows into the Eleven Point (it's actually more like the eleven point is flowing into greer, really) and the trout were just stacked up... didn't take any pics of the trout, actually only hooked three or four and didn't get any of them into the canoe, but here's a pic of the Biggest smallie I caught, and also a Pic of me breaking the rules at the spring...

I have to say again the EPCR has been the go to guys for all things eleven point, make sure and give em a shout if you plan to go.. Brian I am dying to get in the front of your drift boat!

Nice report, and yes I agree with you, the boys at 11 Point Canoe Rental are the go to guys for information and catering to us fisherman, I hope to get on the river this week, fall is a great time to fish it. I just hope they don't get the rain that is forecasted for this week.

Glad you had a good trip. Just let me know when you want to get in the front of the drift boat, as you know, now is the right time of year, probably through Dec. or Jan.

My plan is to get an inexpensive fly rod and training video and try it out all winter til I get it down a little, then go back to the park and watch the pros do it this spring.. Then I will feel confident enoug to get in the front of your drift boat and see what I can do with some guided assistance..

Why don't you and Ryan plan a trip up here this winter? I won't charge you to take you out and see how well you guys do in my "secret" spots..

Hey, I referred my boss down there, but he's more into kyaking than fishing.. Sounds like he's gonna do Greer to Rivertin in two days, with a friend.. I assume you guys can set him up with that?

Thanks for the referral, I'm pretty sure I have already set something up with him, as he was from your neck of the woods. I don't know when I will be able to get up your way as I am tied up the next couple of weekends and then we start getting busy. Maybe next winter though. I have not fished the Niangua in years.
