Came down from St Louis this weekend to try some spin fishing on Taney. We got out early Saturday morning and waded through the fog to the upper lake. Didn't do well until almost lunchtime. Drifted once from the narrows down to FC, and only had a few short strikes on 1/6oz Gold Cleos and a few other types of inline spinners, lil Jakes, etc.

Went back out after lunch and made a few more drifts from maybe a mile up from FC back to the mouth and picked up maybe a dozen or 14 between 12 and 15" bows. Released all.

Definitely not a stellar weekend but always better than workin!

The lake wasn't near as busy as I would have expected given the weather, but I think it was a combination of it being high and the fishing being slow.
