Members bstarbird Posted November 4, 2008 Members Posted November 4, 2008 Hey guys I might have a chance to head up to the White River around Thanksgiving. I'm from Tulsa and it would be my first time, so in other words, could someone fill me in on this place? Where to go? Best locations, flies, etc? Just wanting to make sure I get the best out of my trip. Also, around that time of the year, is the water usually up or is it wadable? Thanks in advance.
taxidermist Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Water will probably still be up. they have been running 6-8 generators 24/7 to draw the lake down. Bank fishing the accessable places would be White hole, some at Cotter, Wildcat shoals, Buffalo City Bull SHoals State park below the Restricted area is restricted to Catch and Release until next year, due to Browns spawning. You might want to look at Norfork River, the have not been running gens until noon.
