Donna G Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Thanks! I've wanted to learn how to tie a blood knot, although I hear it is a pain. I fish a shakey head a lot with 6 or 8lb P-Line. I have a hard time seeing the line and I read in FLW or BASS where one of the pros uses yellow braid for shakey head fishing so he can see the line better, plus use a stronger line. He then ties a 7-10' flurocarbon leader to the braid with a blood knot. He puts a drop of Super Glue were the lines meet and rolls it between his fingers until it dries. Sounds like a lot of trouble, but if I could improve my hook-up ratio because I can see bites that I can't feel, plus have fewer break off, it might be worth it.
