flyfishmaster Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I just receive a group E-mail from Lisa Schlueter of Westover Farms with an update regarding their recent changes. I do not know any details besides the informtion she has sent out. The only thing I do know according to business reports is that the bank now owns the facility, it was on the auction block but no one person was able to bid enough so at this time the bank still ownes it and The Schlueter's are still running the operation. If somebody else has more details, please provide the information. --------- Here is her E-Mail: We hope this email finds you doing well! We wanted to provide you with an update because many of our guests have been inquiring about the completion of our cabins. Well, we are pleased to announce that we now have a cabin available for nightly rental! It is a luxurious 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, with all of the amenities including a gourmet kitchen and a living room with a wood burning fire place. If you would like to rent out the cabin and do not need 3 bedrooms, we are able to block-off the extra rooms so that you only purchase the number of rooms you need. This is a great cabin that can be used as a peaceful escape for couples or an enjoyable getaway for a group of ladies or gentleman. The conference center and fly shop are also completed. If you need a place to entertain clients or want to conduct a business meeting, we have the perfect spot for you. All of the technology needed for a meeting or presentation is available for you in the conference center. We also have an array of catering options for you to choose from. Finally, our full service fly fishing and gift shop is open. We have a variety of waders, rods, reels, flies and other accessories that are available for rent or sale. Several documents explaining our pricing and policies have been attached to this email. And, don’t forget that we offer 50% off towards catch and release fishing for those who are staying in the cabin. So, let us know when you are able to come out and enjoy the breathtaking views and solitude at Westover Farms. You may even want to rent the cabin for yourself or your family over the holidays. We look forward to hearing from you soon, Lisa Schlueter Here are some attachments of prices and stuff: COST_LIST.pdf Lodging_Prices2.pdf Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!

flyfishmaster Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Chief, As far as I know Westover is still in business. Here is a link to their website: WESTOVER FARMS Over the past year they have started up Fly Fishing classes and the instructor is Walt Fulps ("The Missouri Trout Hunter"). Plus they have completed a few of there log cabins and they can now be rented out. IMO, the prices are a bit steep, but their location is very secluded. Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
